Noodles with shrimp roe (蝦子撈麵), noodles with dumplings (水餃麵).
The shrimp roe ruptured with an intense shrimpy gusto. The noodles in the
first concoction offered a chewy bite but with nary a hint of the
dreaded alcohol or alkali. The dumplings in the second concoction were
enormous in size, packed with shrimp, pork meat and bamboo shoots, and
multifaceted in flavors. This is definitely one of the very best
noodle shops on offer in a city littered with world-class noodle
joints.
Rating: 1 star to the noodles with shrimp roe.
